SPREAD THE GOSPEL TOGETHER!

Acts 2:46-47 46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

God has really been laying the thought of unity on my heart heavily lately. As Christians we should always be unified yet, we seem to be the most separated of any people. Acts 2 tells of the first New Testament church. I don't think it is coincidence that the chapter begins and ends by telling us that they were all in "one accord". In the world today we are facing many challenges from satan. He is fighting us for lost souls at every turn. The thing that we as Christians have got to do a better job of is standing together. Acts 2 goes on to tell about them eating together, they were happy together, and they were praising together. As a result what happened, lost souls were added unto the church daily. Why should Christ send the lost to a church where everyone is out for themselves? People already get that in the world. The church should be different and more times than not the exact opposite of the world. Remember when you look at your fellow church members, you may not always see eye to eye with them but if you have an issue and that becomes visible in the smallest of ways you are not showing the example of Christ. Find a way to get over it, move on, and be about the Father's business. That is how we will win souls.

I'M A B.A.D. MAN!!

While shopping at a local Wal-Mart, I spotted a man with anacronym on his shirt that had B.A.D. Me, being the person that I am curious, I stopped the man and asked, "What does B.A.D. stand for?" And trust me; you'll be amazed at what his response was. He replied B.A.D. stands for: "Blessed And Delivered". That thought stuck with me as I finished doing my shopping that day.

So I came up with a little advice for you today.

1. When the enemy tries to attack you, be B.A.D.
2. When things don't seem to be going right on your job, be B.A.D.
3. When things are not looking good in your marriage, be B.A.D.
4. When folks scandalize your name, just be B.A.D.

Get with somebody who you know that you can be B.A.D. with!!!

******May God Bless You And Have A B.A.D. Day !!!!!********

The above is from an email I received - Thank you Fran

YOU ARE LOVED!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (emphasis mine)

I thought it appropriate to remind you of something today. We refer to this as a dog eat dog world where everyone is out for themselves and you can't trust anyone. This is part of what I believe contributes to the fact that approximately 18.8 million people in the U.S. suffer from depression. People feel alone! They think they have no true friends and nobody loves or even can love them. I am hear to give everyone great news. God loves YOU! I know you think that there are things about you or things in your past that makes you unlovable by God, but you are wrong. The bible says God so loved the world. The world full of liars, cheaters, adulterers, and murderers that He sent His son to die so that we might be forgiven. God is faiththful to forgive you if you just believe in Him and ask. God loves you! Some of you have heard me say it before, you can never do anything to make God quit loving you because you never did anything to make Him start. Do not waste another minute, say that prayer. If you need help reply or send me an email. If you are already a Christian don't think that the fact that things are going bad or you have turned away from Godly things that He has quit on you. Just go to Him in prayer, He is there waiting for you; ALWAYS!

I KNOW I HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!!!

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (emphasis added)

God is so good! I was in South Georgia this past weekend due to a death in the family, and God opened up an awesome opportunity. A man knocked on the door of my cousin's house looking for work to make money for a doctor's appointment. I was only in S. GA due to the death in the family, yet God opened a door for me to witness to someone. This man knew the bible very well, and while there are times I doubt how well I can quote scripture I was not only quoting scripture to answer his questions I was also showing it to him in my bible (thank you Holy Ghost). He said he knew his bible and he was good with God, but when asked if he knew he would go to heaven if he died right now he responded "hopefully, well I think so." I shared 1 John 5:13 with him and it was like it finally sunk in. All of the heartache he had faced and the trouble people gave him looking for work came into perspective. He asked me, "If I ask God into my heart and truly mean it I then know I have God and He never leaves me so I am never alone?" To have the opportunity to share and for the person to realize that Christ didn't leave you wondering, He made the stament "that ye may know that ye have eternal life." While a death in the family is hard, I'm sure my wife's grandfather would be happy to know that through his death an opportunity to share Christ with someone presented itself.

UNFORGIVING = UNFORGIVEN

Matthew 6:14-15 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

I have often wondered why we learn a verse or verses yet leave off a very important portion. Most people know the Lord’s Prayer but few pay attention to the 2 verses that follow. We need to realize that the only way to be forgiven by Christ is for us to forgive others. When you are struggling to forgive someone for what they did to you or didn’t do for you, keep in mind your forgiveness from Christ depends on it. If we aren’t forgiven what happens when we die? I don’t know about you but an unforgiving heart is not something I want to answer to God for; and I’m not willing to find out the repercussions.

HIT ME AGAIN!!

Acts 5:40-42 40And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. 41And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. 42And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

What an awesome thought! Today we are often times so busy worrying about what people will think of us for doing the right thing, talking about God, or even praying in public. I still hear people say they are afraid to invite some people to church because it could hurt their relationship or really make people begin to talk about them around school or the office. They were BEATEN and REJOICED! Lord please give me the strength to do things for You that makes people want to beat me and to rejoice that the world beat me because I did that thing for You!

POWER TO WITNESS!!

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

You are empowered! I read a book this week about witnessing to others. I love reading books that make you want to get up, go to the mall, and tell everyone you run into about Christ. Many times as believers we think that God will not use us, but He called us to go preach and teach the gospel. Every Christian has at least 2 purposes: 1. worship God 2. share the gospel. In the verse above He tells the disciples they shall receive power through the Holy Ghost and then they shall witness. He did not say can witness He said shall and you have received the same power as a Christian. Do not doubt yourself, you can do it, go win souls for Christ.

STRENGTH!!

Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Today is my b-day so I thought I would use my favorite verse.

I know we are only almost half way through the year and some of us are struggling to make it day to day. I just want to let you know that it is time to wait on the LORD. When things seem to be dragging you down and holding you back just know God has something planned for you. While Satan may be pushing you back, just wait and God will give you the strength to run in the direction He wants you to go. He will not leave you, you will make it, just go where He wants you to.
