DON'T BE A SQUEAKY WHEEL!

I realized at the point I was straying away from God I was quick to point out all of the wrongs Christians were committing against me. I never seemed to talk about the Christians that showed me love and support through everything and prayed for me daily. Hopefully some of them will read this and take my thank you now.

Often times we forget to pat the person on the back that gives us hope because we are squeaking about the problems hoping it will get fixed. In case you are someone that is trying to be the supportive Christian I just want to let you know you are not going unnoticed. There may be times that you do things and never here a thank you but, the influence and effects you are having are greater than you will ever know. I know that many times you may feel like you are not making a difference but I am here to tell you that you are. If you have just encouraged 1 person when they were down and out it is worth it to continue showing that joy and love. That right there is the reason for this blog. If I or someone placing a comment on here can help just 1 person then it is all worth it. I love you all and thank you for the chance to reach out to you, if you feel alone or doubt being loved then just place a comment on here to me. I love you and I know other Christians that feel the same. I hope this can become a support network that will help Christians and win souls.
God Bless!!
Pray!

i can sort of relate to this b/c unfortunately this happens to a number of people i know. it has happened to me also, and i'm not sure if its b/c of the relationship i am in. my boyfriend is catholic. and i am not sure what the major difference is between christianity and catholism. what is your opinion on other religions such as catholism? i've considered converting for him if we get married, but are their beliefs different from ours?

The funny thing is Calthlicism is supposed to be a part of Christianity but, it does come across as a completely different religion at times. As far as religions different than Christianity that is an immediate get away, 2 Cor 6:14 " Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:..." Different religions are not Christians and the bible is clear on that. As far as catholicism there are several things about it that I don't agree with, one being the teaching that you need to confess to a priest and then you pray Hail Marys for forgiveness. The bible says I pray to one God and this along with the other people they view as saints and pray to is placing people at the same rank as God. If you are interested I can get you the name of a book that quickly breaks down different religions as compared to Christianity.
Now to the heart of the matter. Lets ignore the Catholicism point for a minute, anything that you know is affecting your relationship with Christ negatively is not something that you need to continue with. You know what your relationship was before and what it is now. Anything , anything that comes between you and God needs to go. I know it seems harsh but, Christ has someone for you and it will be someone that will walk with you in Christ not cause you to be in a struggle with your relationship with Christ.

I would actually love to get the name of that book. I have always had questions about all types of different religions, and I think it would be great to read, even if its just for pleasure. And like you said in your comment, I am also uncomfortable with confessions to a priest, hail marys, etc. And also, my laziness as a Christian is purely my fault. My boyfriend actually comments about how we should go to church more, I just feel a little uneasy when we go to the catholic church. It's gotten better the more we've went, and I do enjoy the sermon, its just different from growing up Methodist. My only other concern is that, even if we keep our own religions after we get married, what religion should our child be? So that's why I think reading this book would help me understand all religions, so that I can make these types of decisions in the future.

I am also pulling together some other sites that will give you info and I will get the book and verify that there is info not covered in the websites before I tell you to buy it. Although it does cover many religions and there difference from Christianity. Also my email is listed on this page if you would like more info offline from the blog.

Here are 3 sites that pretty thoroughly explain major differences in Protestant and Catholic beliefs:
http://www.gotquestions.org/difference-Catholic-Protestant.html
http://www.ovrlnd.com/Cults/diffofcatholics.html
http://www.victorious.org/chur40.htm

This should give you a good perspective and an understanding as to why I have issues with the Catholic church.
